PROFESSIONAL BIO

Katie Moon, Owner and Photographer of FIDAMO — started her professional creative career as an undergrad at Indiana University (Bloomington, IN – 2000). During her time at IU, Katie served as President of Delta Sigma Pi (coed professional fraternity), started her first Entrepreneurial venture (LWD), was a finalist in the Eli Lilly IT Consulting Case Competition, and was awarded by the National Dean’s List.

As the owner of LWD, Katie designed dynamic professional websites for small businesses and corporate clientele, created Small Business applications, began her pursuit of professional photography, and had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with KickApps (NY) in the rise of social networking (development and integration).

After completing her BA in Legal Studies and Entrepreneurship, Katie moved to Maimi, FL and found a home in the corporate advertising department of Macy*s / Federated (2004). While at Macy*s, she served as Strategic Marketing Analyst in charge of campaign strategy for Women’s Fashion. In addition to beginning her formal corporate career, Katie also served as Manager of Partner’s in Time (Community Outreach), eventually organizing and leading the Macy*s National Give Back Day Campaign (2005).

In the Fall of 2005, Katie was awarded the prestigious ‘Metropolitan Who’s Who Among Leading Professionals’ for Excellence in Corporate Achievement.

In 2007, Katie relocated to Indianapolis to pursue Entrepreneurship full time. Revising her former business strategy, she re-launched the venture as FIDAMO and focused on growing her primary twin passions: Photography and Advertising Campaign strategy. This shift led to her first International contract and a three-month relocation to Fashion Television Asia and the International Academy of Film and Television in Cebu, Philippines (2008).

Returning to the States with a hunger for cultural exposure, Katie began her Masters in Cultural Art History (The Reciprocal Dialogue Between Modernism and Globalization) and focused on extending her personal efforts to include humanitarian activism and cultural documentation. Culminating in a Moroccan Expedition with National Geographic, work and personal contracts took Katie to over 14 different countries across Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, and North America (2009).

From the end of 2009 to present, Katie has focused on growing FIDAMO’s regional efforts and giving back to her local community. Upon returning home, she organized and directed Help-Portrait Indianapolis at the Salvation Army Battered Women and Children’s shelter and simultaneously welcomed Sarah Box (fashion stylist) and Tiffany Holmes (hair/mu stylist) to FIDAMO’s team. In 2010, FIDAMO Directed the Fashion Lounge at ORANJE 2010, produced and released the first issue of FIDAMO Magazine, and enjoyed growth within the fashion, music, and editorial photography scene of Indianapolis.

Of her creative career, Katie says:
“… I feel extremely lucky to wake up everyday and pursue the things I am most passionate about. I’ve been fortunate to partner with amazingly talented teams and mentors — on wonderfully creative and eclectic projects and campaigns. I am very excited to see what the future has in store for FIDAMO and for my path within the creative world. If there is one thing that I hope to accomplish, it would be to give back to the creative and cultural landscapes of our time, to inspire others and to be inspired by them in return.“
