BACKGROUND

KT Moon, Owner and Director of Brand Management for FIDAMO, USA — started her professional creative career as an undergrad at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN in the Fall of 1999. During her time at IU, KT served as the President of Delta Sigma Pi (coed professional fraternity), was a finalist in the Eli Lilly IT Consulting Case Competition, was awarded by the National Dean’s List, and also started her first Entrepreneurial venture, LWD.

As the owner of LWD, KT designed dynamic professional websites for corporate clientele and small businesses, began her pursuit of professional photography, created Access Databases and Small Business applications, and had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with KickApps in the rise and creation of social networking.

After completing her BA in Legal Studies and Entrepreneurship, KT moved to Maimi, FL and found a home in the corporate advertising department of Macy*s / Federated (2004). While at Macy*s, KT severed as the Strategic Marketing Analyst in charge of the advertising strategy for Women’s Fashion. In addition to beginning her formal corporate career in advertising strategy, KT also served as Manager of Partner’s in Time (Macy*s Community Outreach Program), eventually organizing and leading the Macy*s National Give Back Day Program (2005).

In the Fall of 2005, KT was presented with the prestigious Metropolitan Who’s Who Among Leading Professionals Award for Excellence in Corporate Achievement.

In 2006, KT’s path in life took a major turn as she was called back home to take over the care of her terminally ill mother. KT recalls this year in her life stating”… it was one of the most beautiful and challenging times in my life. I feel extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to give everything I had to a mother who had always unconditionally given to me. That year, I learned a great deal about life, strength, love, and the ongoing pursuit of passion.”

In 2007, KT returned to pursuing her entrepreneurial ventures full time. Revising her former business model, KT took on the role of artist manager for Landon Keller Music and also focused her attention on professional photography (independent music and urban art — including full scale publications, creative concepts, branding, and creative campaigns). KT recounts her return to entrepreneurship by saying “… it was as though life had handed me a blank slate and said ‘tell me, what do you want your life to be?’ I knew that I could always return to the corporate world. I had really enjoyed my time at Macy’s, had learned so much from so many people — but there were still so many passions from my youth that I wanted to explore. So I decided to give my former business a facelift and renamed it FIDAMO (passion, creativity, and dedication). I fell in love with music, art, and international culture all over again. It was a truly exciting and liberating time in my life.”

In 2008, KT accepted a work contract with Fashion Television Asia, Bigfoot Entertainment, and the International Academy of Film and Television. This adventure led her to living and working in Cebu, Philippines during the Fall of 2008. After returning from the Philippines, KT continued to grow FIDAMO, USA and assisted clients with their marketing strategies and creative public relations campaigns.

KT is currently pursuing her Masters in Cultural Art History from Warnborough Ireland (specializing in Globalization and the Homogenization of Art and Culture) and is extremely excited to be joining National Geographic Expeditions on a photography tour of Morocco in October. Of her creative career KT says, “… I have always felt extremely lucky to be able to wake up everyday and to pursue the things that I am most passionate about. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with amazingly talented teams and mentors — on wonderfully creative and eclectic projects and campaigns. I am very excited to see what the future has in store for FIDAMO, USA and for my path within the creative world. If there is one thing that I would hope to eventually accomplish, it would be to have the opportunity to give back to the creative and cultural landscapes of our time, to inspire others and to be inspired by them in return.”
